I combine research, strategy, and content to create innovative solutions tailored to the fashion industry.
ABOUT ME
Hi, I am Lívia Pinent. I’m an anthropologist working in fashion, researching the cultural aspects of the industry and the impact of new technologies on how we create and consume fashion. I write a newsletter called Fashion Culture (subscribe here) and I teach at the Amsterdam Fashion Academy.
With 19 years of experience in marketing and research, I have worked for companies like PVH (Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein) and on pioneering projects such as The Digital Fashion Group. I come from a multicultural and multidisciplinary background: born in Brazil, I have lived in Portugal for many years and also in Belgium. Now, my postal code is from Amsterdam. I hold a PhD in Communication Sciences, a Master's in Social Anthropology, and a Fashion Business certification from Central Saint Martins. This mix gives me a unique perspective on fashion, which I apply in my research projects, writing pieces and lectures.
